Ice providing balance of system components.

SYLVANIA, Ohio – October 7, 2009 – Ice Industries, a leading metal stamping, welding and assembly company, announced that it has expanded its presence in the alternative energy market with the supply of metal stamped components. Ice has begun production of prototype and high volume production parts for the solar industry and is providing various stamped metal components for ground and roof mounted bracket systems.

“The 'balance of system' components, as they are known in the industry, are engineered components that are highly valued in their contribution to the overall system. As efficiency of systems improve, alternative energy manufacturers are looking for ways to improve their cost competitiveness in relation to the traditional power sources and Ice was in a position to provide engineering expertise to these customers,” said Paul Bishop, Ice Industries’ President.

Ice is supporting alternative energy customers out of its Grenada Stamping and Assembly location in Grenada, Mississippi. Ice’s nearly 500,000 square foot plant has broad ranging capabilities in metal stamping, welding and assembly. The facility is TS 16949 certified and currently supplies a broad range of customers in the appliance, HVAC, refrigeration, off highway, fire safety, turf and garden and automotive markets.

“We’re excited to be involved in this important and growing market. Alternative energy OEs need suppliers who can bring more than capacity to the table and we’re pleased that our customers in this area have recognized we are a collaborative supplier focused on low cost engineering and manufacturing solutions,” said Howard Ice, Ice Industries’ CEO and founder.
