TOLEDO, OH – February 21, 2013 – Ice Industries has announced that the first of five additional metal stamping presses – plus ancillary equipment – is now producing product at its Apodaca/Monterrey, Mexico production facility. The mechanical, metal stamping presses range from 150 ton to 1,000 ton. All include feeders, straighteners, and coil handling equipment; and are being installed in a recently completed 60,000 square foot expansion.  The completed expansion increases Ice’s facility to 115,000 square feet in Mexico.

This new investment further demonstrates Ice Industries' growing presence in Mexico, and commitment to serving its customers from a set of conveniently located manufacturing plants. As stated by Howard Ice, the Company's Founder and CEO: “Ice Industries is dedicated to serving a variety of customer needs throughout the central manufacturing corridor of the NAFTA region . This significant expansion proves our commitment to serving the expanding demand of the Mexican customer base.”

Added Paul Bishop, Ice Industries' President and COO: "Our current customers have been clamoring for additional capacity at our plant in Mexico. These additions not only answer that demand, but provide increased production flexibility for new and existing products.  We continue to see de-integration and re-shoring going on and Ice Mexico is a great alternative."

Augmenting the new metal stamping presses are a range of complimentary equipment; including an additional CMM and its second CNC machining center which will be installed shortly.

"The Ice Mexico plant's increased capabilities, combined with the skilled workforce for whom we have traditionally been known, make an unbeatable combination in the Nuevo Leon area," said Bob Wisler, Ice Industries' Director of Business Development. "I encourage area manufacturers to arrange a visit and to see for themselves what Ice brings to the metal forming table."
