New Contract Propels Metal Stamping Company Into New Market

TOLEDO, Ohio – June 16, 2008 – Ice Industries, a leading metal stamping, welding and assembly company, has signed a contract to make parts for the world’s largest manufacturer of fire safety products. Ice has now expanded its product offerings to include assemblies for fire extinguishers.

Ice will produce deep drawn and welded steel cylinders for Kidde’s UTC Fire & Security Division. The five-year, $60 million contract calls for Ice to manufacture four sizes of cylinders: 2.5 pound, 5 pound, 10 pound and 20 pound.

Ice will service Kidde from its Ice Mexico facility in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and ship the parts to Kidde in Matamoros, Mexico.
