General Function:
Performs daily accounting activities such as, cost accounting, inventory tracking and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Advises the Plant Manager on the day to day aspects on running the plant.
Job Duties:
- Advises on profitability of company and assets.
- Works with Director of Finance to develop strategic and long-term financial goals and regulatory compliance of reporting.
- Tracks and reports detailed information regarding the costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor efficiency, etc.
- Works with Scheduler to manage steel, raw components, finished goods, and outside processes.
- Insures the proper controls are followed at the plant level.
- Support in preparation for yearly audit.
Working Conditions:
Typical office and manufacturing plant environment.
Physical Component(s):
Standing and walking up to 20% of work time.
Education/Experience:
College degree in Accounting, Financial, or Business Administration
Should have 2-10 years experience in all aspects of accounting.
Other Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of Excel, problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical test and background check.
