Ice Industries’ history is marked by an early focus on facility and asset acquisition that has both informed and allowed for a long-term growth strategy, built largely upon market diversification, which still permeates our business today.

Often overlooked or misunderstood in this important part of our history, however, is what we view as the true value made with each acquisition: people, knowledge and expertise. Because at Ice, we know that, while facilities and equipment are critical tools to our success, it’s our people—and the skill, know-how and experience they harbor—that truly make us tick.

While acquisition is certainly nothing new within our industry, our approach has been a bit different than the traditional acquisition strategy typically employed. Because, while most suppliers buy within the confines of their own knowledge base we have always challenged ourselves to do the opposite: buy what we don’t yet know.

The result is an increased intelligence and expanded expertise with each and every acquisition, allowing us to adhere to our goal of continued diversification through time.
