Capabilities
Grenada Stamping and Assembly has a broad menu of capabilities which include the ability to blank, form, weld and assemble a variety of materials, strengths and thicknesses. Our large format, high‑tonnage tandem press lines and 2200T automated transfer press handle everything from Class A appliance parts to some of the widest and heaviest materials used in the automotive frame market. These presses are fed with new coil feeders and straighteners capable of handling widths from 2 to 72 inches and thicknesses from 0.035 to 0.500 inches. High speed 1000T blankers provide blanking capacity for a variety of customer needs.
Ice Industries’ investment in Grenada has been considerable. A newly renovated 40,000 square foot facility complements our 300,000 square foot main plant, focusing on welding and assembly.
Grenada Stamping and Assembly is capable of handling all the ancillary sub-assemblies and small part manufacturing that customers need to augment large part requirements. The press line-up is one of the most diverse and capable stamping, welding and assembly operations in the south. As industry continues to expand in the south, Grenada Stamping and Assembly is serving these new arrivals to the region. Primarily the Grenada location serves the automotive, HVACR, appliance and off-highway markets.

History
The Grenada facility was established in 1961 by Lyons, Inc. as a stainless steel wheel cover manufacturing operation. After several years of successful operation, the plant was acquired by Rockwell Standard (later known as Rockwell International) in 1967. Over the next two decades, the plant continued to produce wheel covers and hubcaps for Ford, General Motors and Chrysler.
The Randall Division of Textron acquired the facility in June 1985. During the period of their ownership (1985–1999), the stainless steel wheel cover business gave way to plastic wheel covers and styled wheel rims. When product demand began to diminish, the company looked at other markets in order to diversify the product mix. Companies such as Thermos and Murray Lawnmowers were added to the existing customer base.
In August 1999, the facility changed hands as a result of a management buyout. Although product mixes and customers continued to be added to the business core, the newly generated business lines did not make up for losses caused by the decline in the stainless wheel cover business.
In March 2005, Ice Industries acquired the business, and the company was renamed Grenada Stamping and Assembly, Inc.
