Ice Signs 6-Year, $24 Million Contract To Produce 14 Parts For Major Automotive Supplier; Ice To Expand Capacity At Southwest Ohio Plant To Support Work.

SYLVANIA, Ohio – Nov. 1, 2006 – Ice Industries, a leading metal stamping and assembly company, today announced it is increasing its presence in the automotive industry with a new contract from a major automotive supplier.

The 6-year, $24 million contract calls for Ice to manufacture seven structural frames components. Ice was awarded the business for the life of the program, which is expected to continue through 2012.

To support the additional work, Ice will increase its automotive capabilities by expanding operations at its Deerfield Manufacturing plant in Mason, Ohio. Ice is installing five tandem presses at its Deerfield Manufacturing subsidiary, including a 900-ton leadoff press and four 500-ton presses. The presses were purchased recently from the former Jeep Parkway facility in Toledo, Ohio.

“This new business award was a major factor in our decision to expand our capacity at Deerfield Manufacturing,” said Paul Bishop, President and Chief Operating Officer, Ice Industries. “We appreciate the supplier’s continued confidence in Ice by awarding us two new contracts and look forward to maintaining a strong, long-term relationship with the company.”

In addition, Ice has been awarded a second contract for additional business from the same automotive supplier. As part of this 3-year, $1.5 million contract, Ice will produce seven parts at the Ice Mississippi plant in Grenada, Miss. No expansion of capacity is necessary to accommodate this new contract.
