Capabilities
Deerfield Manufacturing has historically been focused on deep draw stamping. Although Deerfield continues to be a premier high volume deep draw manufacturer, recent investments have considerably broadened the capabilities of this location. Our multiple deep draw compressor shell lines which operate with world class efficiency are complimented by a five press tandem lineup that is now serving the automotive and off-highway markets. This new lineup includes one 900 ton and four 500 ton presses capable of handling a variety of customer applications.
History
Founded in 1948, Deerfield began as a screw-machine operation. Over the next 15 years, the company evolved into a metal stamping company after divesting the screw-machine business.
In the late 1960s, Deerfield began stamping deep drawn compressor housings for the air-conditioning industry in addition to trim parts for the automotive and appliance industries. By the mid 1990s, Deerfield Manufacturing developed into a world-class manufacturer of deep drawn metal stampings, with two facilities and over 150 employees.
In February 2002, ICE Industries acquired Deerfield Manufacturing. With a change in management philosophy and a concerted effort to both improve quality systems and secure QS9000 status and subsequently TS-16949, Deerfield has expanded its customer base to become a key supplier to the refrigeration and automotive industries
